Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Romans-1-21-Bible-Verse

Happy Thursday! What happens when we hold back our thanks? See the consequences in today’s scripture.

Day 4: Romans 1:21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Refusing to ascribe to God the honor and glory that is due to His name, knowing full well that your life is the way it is because of Him, is detrimental to a believer. The consequences are vain imagination, pride and carnality. Being thankful causes us to acknowledge God as the source of all that we have, and not seek to take glory for ourselves or other secondary parties.
