The second day of the working week is here. If you are going to work today think about this:
The Job You Despise Is a Blessing In Disguise
In the approach to the holidays as you begin to reflect on the things that you are most grateful for, don’t forget to be thankful for your job! In the midst of complaining about what’s not right, take time to appreciate the benefits. Firstly, it is a paycheck. You may not think it is enough, but you have a source of income, something that many Americans do not have. Your job helps to clarify your goals and allows you to assess your skills. Your job provides networking opportunities. It can spark a change – if you are truly unhappy with your job, do something about it. Let it motivate you to further your education or do whatever it takes to attain your dream job. From a believer’s perspective, that paycheck is not your source but a resource – a seed that can be sown to bring increase. Your job is one avenue that supplies you with the money needed to fund the work of the Kingdom. The networking opportunities are great opportunities for evangelism. Your job prepares and trains you for your work, your real work, the work that God has purposed for you to do.
