Well guys I’m actually in New York spending time with my mom. If you have been following me on my blog’s and social networks you know that she had some health complications this year that was anything less than scary. Always eager to learn and pull a life lesson out of every situation, I understood through that experience the importance of taking time out for your loved ones. You can allow life to lead you versus you leading life. Life will have you overworking and over-processing in a robotic like state forgetting that you have an existence and that there are people around you that want “you”. Not your money, text messages, email, they are looking for you.
Here are three easy things you can do to connect more with family members.
1. Always be present – clear your mind from the clutter of the day
2. Unplug – Disconnect from all electronics. Put your phone on vibrate and shut your computer or laptop down.
3. Plan customized events – The one thing that will make friends or family feel special is for you to take time to plan time exclusively customized to that person.
Doing these three easy steps will strengthen and add much needed value to your relationships.
