I hope you have had a blessed weekend as I have.
I want to discuss a very important subject today in which I have a feeling is near and dear to your heart….YOU.
If you have been following my bogs, you’ll understand that I believe all things start and stop with you. I believe the closer we get to Christ return it will be imperative that we understand whose we are and who we are. With so many temptations that will lead you astray by using the subtle slow fade of lust, you’ll find yourself permanently stained by the world’s sin standard if you are not careful.
Just a couple of days ago, while were discussing the subject of Faith, I said that if you have holes in your self-belief, then it is going to be very difficult– nearly impossible to have whole Faith in God. I want to expound on that more, by saying that you have to be your #1 focus in this season. The condition of your soul, will greatly impact the condition of your relationship with God and your spiritual sustainability as the days get darker and more evil. I hope that you can sense the urgency in today’s blog, you can’t wait until you feel like it, or after you accomplish your life’s goal then start focusing on your soul, do you remember the passage of the the 10 wise and foolish virgins?
25 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Which will you be #TeamWise or #TeamFoolish? I’m sure your pastor has been preaching it, as well you have been sensing in your personal time, that it’s time to pull yourself together. It’s time to tie up some of the loose ends that that you have neglected that is detrimental to your success or failure. Remember this – too late is never the time to start getting ready – the time to prepare is NOW.
This week I want to talk about some of the most mismanaged areas of our lives – our mind/thoughts, our words, our company we keep, and our surroundings.
I look forward to going on this journey with you.
