Taking Care of Yourself – Your Emotions


Hello family we are nearly finished with the work week!! We discussed over the last two days tips on staying Physically and Mentally healthy – today I want to talk about 3 steps to staying emotionally healthy

1. Connect

Connect with the people around you: your family, friends, colleagues and neighbours. Spend time developing these relationships. Strong relationships are KEY for healthy living.

2. Keep learning 

Learning new skills can give you a sense of achievement and a new confidence. Find the time to sign up for that cooking course, start learning to play a musical instrument, or figure out how to fix your bike? The accomplishment that comes with learning will affect your self-esteem GREATLY.

3. Give to others

Even the smallest act can count, whether it’s a smile, a thank you or a kind word. Giving to others forces you to think outside of yourself which is scientifically proven to offset depressive states.

You can NOT ignore your emotional state and have a comprehensively happy life. Learn to find your own positive triggers, and take control of your feelings, which in essence is taking control of your life!
