Reaching the Nations – Part 1

Matthew 28:19 King James Version (KJV)

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

This scripture is so potent being that it contains the road map to the direction the church should be going as Christ Return is near. Not too long ago a local minister Dr. Larry D. Reid stated, “If your local church doesn’t look like the community that your church is in, then your church is a cult.” What a strong, but challenging statement. So many times we herd people into our local assemblies that look like us and think like us, and to be honest we are absolutely fine with that. The abovementioned scripture says that we are to go ye therefore and teach all nations. So here is my question: Does your church look like all nations? Here is another question: Does your outreach team touch all nations?

It is a fact that Sunday is the most segregated day of the week, we work together, eat together, shop in the same places, BUT we worship in separate places.

The church that is going to continue to be relevant until Jesus comes back isn’t the traditional church that we’ve been accustomed to up until now. There must be a shift in the consciousness of the parishioners and leadership of the current church.

Are you willing to accept the challenge to witness to someone today that doesn’t come from where you are? In fact that is polar opposite of your culture?

It’s time to reach the nations!
