It’s Friday! You’ve made it through another week! I want to remind you to take some time for yourself this weekend. We have talked a lot in recent blogs about dreams, goals, and plans. Yes, it is so important to prepare for the future, but don’t forget to live right now, in the present. We talk about learning from the past, and we talk about walking in our future, but the reality is we exist in the now and the way to our dream is through our present. So take a moment or two to appreciate where you are right now.
Pay attention. Life is happening all around you. Be thankful for the small things and have an attitude of gratitude. Celebrate someone in your life by letting them know how much you appreciate them. Perform a random act of kindness for someone just because you can. Take a moment to slow down and enjoy the present.
Do something that makes you happy. It could be a favorite meal, reading your favorite book, spending time with family or friends, soaking in the bath. Whatever it is, keep it simple and appreciate yourself.
Give yourself permission. Accept where you are today without feeling guilty or judgmental about your situation. Allow yourself to breath, and free your mind to embrace and seize the day.
