Goals Are Like Seeds

It’s great to have goals and dreams, but what are you doing with them? Just having a goal does not mean that it will be accomplished. Goals need to be cared for and tended to in order for them to grow into full bloom dreams.

Nothing will come of your goals except they first be planted, and planted in good soil. This usually means writing them down, rehearsing them and visualizing their completion until it becomes planted in your mind, your heart and your actions. Fertilize the soil your seed is planted in with a positive attitude, lots of courage and belief. It takes faith to believe that this idea can become reality.

Your goals will need to be kept in the right conditions so that it can grow roots, sprout and grow. Your goals need regular maintenance. Water and nourish your goals with the right tools. Take classes, find a mentor, do things that enhance and develop your skills and experiences that will lead to the growth and development of your goals. Have patience with the process and be consistent with up-keep and care that your goals require.

Regularly inspect for insects and slugs that will eat away at your growth. Keep your mind and space free from negative thoughts and people. Surround yourself with those who believe in you and your goals and are able to support, inspire and advise you. Don’t be discouraged by the seemingly slow growth, but be realistic about the time and effort it takes to grow your goals.

Before you know it, your dreams will be in full bloom and you will reap the harvest of the seeds you previously planted!
