I am not sure if you have taken the time to take a vacation this year, but if you have not, I would like to encourage you to do so. Taking time to rest, relax and recharge is vital for your health, both mentally and physically.

If vacations are not a part of your current budget, I strongly encourage you to add them for next year. For now, start small. Stay at a hotel in another town, or plan a weekend at a local bed and breakfast. From there, you can begin to plan more elaborate trips.

If you are married it is essential for you and your spouse to spend quality time together, and then if you have kids consider doing a vacation as a couple and one as a family. In the beginning, these trips may not be weeklong adventures. The trip may have to happen over a weekend, the length of time is not nearly as important is taking the time to spend with each other.

We live in a world that is non-stop and demanding. We must be determined to stop ourselves and take time to get away with our loved ones. Trust me, you will be glad you did.
