May this be your Best Year Yet!
During the Christmas Holidays we had two opportunities to prepare brunch for approximately 100 people each day. A group of volunteers and friends served on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. While we have volunteers and friends onsite at least 2-3 times each month, this was our first opportunity to serve on the actual holiday. It was both fun and rewarding.
All of this was made possible by the proceeds of the Baby Steps book sales.
I am so excited about the impact that Baby Steps The Book has made since June 2017. This is only the beginning and the best is yet to come.
Thank you so much for your support!
Check out the video from The Book dedication June 8th. Help me help families during this holiday season by purchasing a few books at Babystepsthebook.com. All proceeds are used for the purchase of gift items and necessary goods for families dealing with any type of childhood illness.
Thank You in advance.
No matter what happened this week, you have successfully navigated through it and made it to the weekend! I love the pictures in the frames above because they all are reminders to me and I hope to you as well.
When life gets crazy, remember to breathe. Just take a few minutes and steal away. Never underestimate the power of peace and quiet to calm your spirit and reset your mind.
The best truly is yet to come! As we draw closer to the end of another year, don’t close the book on 2017 yet. God can still absolutely show up and blow your mind. Just keep pushing towards your goals and purpose.
Finally, every day your Father in Heaven allows you to remain on the Earth, you can be confident that your purpose is not yet fulfilled, so you still have work to do! So, get busy! Everything is going to be alright. God will not put more on you than you can bear, and the trial you face today will be the testimony you need to change someone else’s life!
So go ahead and get some rest and recharge for the next week! Have a great and relaxing weekend.
This is actually a public service announcement: go to the doctor. Get your check-ups regularly and use your insurance. Now, I know many of us don’t like to go to the doctor, but the illnesses that are attacking our bodies can be stopped if they are just caught in time.
If you have a family history of cancer or any other dreaded illness, or even just as you get older, it is crucial that you go to the doctor. Don’t wait and don’t procrastinate. When you do you are not only risking affecting your life but the lives of everyone connected to you.
I have been taught that even though we are people of faith, there is a “God” part and a “Us” part. God will always do His part, let’s be sure to do ours. Please share this message with the ones you love, you might just save a life!
I am not sure if you have taken the time to take a vacation this year, but if you have not, I would like to encourage you to do so. Taking time to rest, relax and recharge is vital for your health, both mentally and physically.
If vacations are not a part of your current budget, I strongly encourage you to add them for next year. For now, start small. Stay at a hotel in another town, or plan a weekend at a local bed and breakfast. From there, you can begin to plan more elaborate trips.
If you are married it is essential for you and your spouse to spend quality time together, and then if you have kids consider doing a vacation as a couple and one as a family. In the beginning, these trips may not be weeklong adventures. The trip may have to happen over a weekend, the length of time is not nearly as important is taking the time to spend with each other.
We live in a world that is non-stop and demanding. We must be determined to stop ourselves and take time to get away with our loved ones. Trust me, you will be glad you did.
Sometimes we can get lost in the impossibility of a situation. Trust me, I am not judging you. I have been there.
Life can throw you a punch so devastating that you forget every scripture you have read and every sermon you have ever heard. But I just wanted to remind you that no matter how big the mountain you face, you serve a powerful, almighty mountain-moving God!
No matter likes difficulty. I have never seen someone volunteer to go through a crisis or challenge willingly, but the that does not make them any less avoidable. So just know that even though the mountains will come and yes, they might be big…your God is bigger! Trust Him and He will see you through.
I am adding my faith to yours that God will show Himself mighty in your situation! Amen.
If you are not careful, you can end up living life chained and bound. I don’t mean because of bad decisions or sin, I mean simply bound by fear, uncertainty or even apathy.
It is time to break free from whatever may be holding you back from reaching the next level of freedom, prosperity, and joy in your life. If it is people holding you back, let them go. If it is fear, shake it off, and position yourself to pursue your dreams, destiny, and purpose even if you have to do it afraid!
If uncertainty is holding you back, just know that you can never be completely certain of anything! Yet, while you still have breath in your body, you can be certain that God is not through with you yet, and there is more for you to do! So break free and pursue life to the fullest!
Happy Friday! We made it to another week and I want to encourage you that no matter what you have faced this week, that darkness is only temporary. No matter how black your nights may have been, the sun always shows up and penetrates the night the next morning.
When night comes, and afflictions are many sometimes you may have to remind yourself, “Morning is coming.” You can go ahead and rest in your Father in Heaven because although weeping endures for a night, the joy will surely abound in the morning.
No matter what you face. Just remember, the darkness is temporary, it has an expiration sticker just like the challenges you face!
