5K Donation In 2019

This year looking for sponsors to help us donate 5K (Five Thousand dollars) to St. Jude when I participate in the 5K run this September.

We participated last year and had a blast, this year will only be better. We even have a team ready to run with us.

All proceeds from the book sales will be used towards reaching our goal.

This is a great resource that so many people need to assist them with navigating through the emotional side of any type of diagnosis. So if not for you, grab a few for friends.

Click on the link and purchase your copy today. We will even deliver it to the charity/person of your choice, just provide the address.

Thank you in advance for your support!

MONDAY AGAIN?

It’s Monday! For many it is the start of the work week. Let’s approach this week believing that something great is about to happen! What are today’s challenges saying to you, Impossible or I’m possible? The way we view a challenge can lead to us taking a limiting or encouraging approach. Science and technology would not have made the huge advances that it has if these ground-breaking individuals believed in impossibility. Impossible is only impossible until someone finds a way to make it possible. So instead of declaring that something is impossible let’s say that it is possible, I just need to find out how.

The initial battle for success takes place in the mind. Our mind set dictates how we think, feel and approach challenges. If you change the way you think about something, you can change the outcome. What seems like an impossible task can probably be achieved with the right resources. If you open your mind to all possibilities you will find a way to make it possible. When you limit your expectations, you immediately limit your results.

You have been called to touch the lives of others and whatever your plans and goals are, this is a huge undertaking. Whenever your task is looking impossible remember that with God, all things are possible! Fill your mind with thoughts of positivity, enthusiasm, and determination. God has not put limits on what you can achieve and neither should you.

A TIME OF VICTORY!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I am so excited about all that God has in-store for you in 2016!

2016 has been declared our year of VICTORY and we are more than ready to have victory in every area of our lives.

One thing that I have been so excited about at VIBE Church (Victory in the Believers Experience) is that we have all successfully developed a healthy church culture which consistently lives out our motto “We are making a difference and we love it!”. The Lord has allowed our motto to become a reality for us in a huge way in a very short time. As we continue to make a difference, the opportunity has come for us to do it on a much larger scale.

It is my awesome privilege to announce that January 3, 2016 the VIBE Church will be merging into World Overcomers Christian Church -Raleigh Campus! We are more than excited about taking our Gifts, Talents and Treasures to make an even greater impact in the Kingdom with other like-minded believers.

My sincerest hopes are that you would join with us as we jump in at our NEW CHURCH HOME, World Overcomers Christian Church- Raleigh Campus. Lets continue making a difference while experiencing VICTORY in 2016!

Have You Discerned the People in Your Life?

discernment-crossroad

Hello folks, I hope that so far your week has served you well.

I wanted to leave you something to think about:

People are sent into your life by Heaven or Hell, there is no in between. Yes, let that in and understand that when it comes to the reason and motive of every individual it boils down to who sent them. Now before you go excluding certain people from the equation understand that EVERYONE comes in your life for a reason. You meet no one by accident, no matter how random it seems, there are no accidental acquaintances. Let me be more specific: your team members on your job, your supervisor, the particular mailman that runs your route – there is a purpose for every person in your life and it is your job to discern their purpose.

Looking at it in the right perspective might mean that there are people in your life that have what you need and don’t mind getting it to you, but you haven’t been paying attention. You haven’t been combing through your relationships with divinity in mind. That mailman might have a part time job righting grants and can assist you in funding your vision. Do you see now???

Stop what you are doing – look with your other eyes. Discern every relationship, ask God to show you who to draw near to and who to step away from. Relationships in the upcoming season in your life will be the plain that will be used to steer you or detour you!

Life Questions?? Part 3

man with question mark painted on a wall

Hey guys, I hope you have been enjoying my Life Questions series. Hopefully you have been challenged to ask yourself those important questions that at times can shake your soul.

I have another question for you, Who told you it was impossible? As a community leader I often times hear very sad stories of people who had a dream to be this or that, but was told as a young child you can’t do that. Or even they feel they are too young to accomplish that dream. No matter how you received the futuristic damning news, I just want you know – IT’S NOT ACCURATE!!!! It’s simply not the truth at all, well let me take that back. It IS accurate and true if you believe it is. Yes, you heard me correctly, you empower your own future by where you put the energy of your belief.

Yes so the question, Who told you it was impossible? You did. When people tell you things that are opposite from what you believe, and you receive it, then you are the one that told you it was impossible. We have to learn how to take responsible for our lives. Being that we can’t control what people say to us, we have to be diligent in controlling what we let in our lives.

I want to challenge you as we are crossing over to the next year, never let anyone determine  your wealth, health and future. When people say negative things to you, don’t let their words in. Set your future and harshly go after it.

Taking Care of Yourself – Your Emotions

tumblr_lt53jlyfgd1r23at4o1_500

Hello family we are nearly finished with the work week!! We discussed over the last two days tips on staying Physically and Mentally healthy – today I want to talk about 3 steps to staying emotionally healthy

1. Connect

Connect with the people around you: your family, friends, colleagues and neighbours. Spend time developing these relationships. Strong relationships are KEY for healthy living.

2. Keep learning

Learning new skills can give you a sense of achievement and a new confidence. Find the time to sign up for that cooking course, start learning to play a musical instrument, or figure out how to fix your bike? The accomplishment that comes with learning will affect your self-esteem GREATLY.

3. Give to others

Even the smallest act can count, whether it’s a smile, a thank you or a kind word. Giving to others forces you to think outside of yourself which is scientifically proven to offset depressive states.

You can NOT ignore your emotional state and have a comprehensively happy life. Learn to find your own positive triggers, and take control of your feelings, which in essence is taking control of your life!
