5K Donation In 2019

We participated last year and had a blast, this year will only be better. We even have a team ready to run with us.

All proceeds from the book sales will be used towards reaching our goal.

This is a great resource that so many people need to assist them with navigating through the emotional side of any type of diagnosis. So if not for you, grab a few for friends.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Knowing What You Want To Do

If you have been following these recent blogs, you’ll know that we have been exploring how to be an effective marketplace minister. If you are working a job that you feel is not fulfilling the ministry that God has cultivated within you then go ahead and make a change. Here are some guidelines on recognizing what it is you should be doing.

What upsets you? We usually look to the things that we enjoy the most as a sign of what we should be doing, but have you considered what upsets you? The things that cause you to be the most upset or frustrated are probably where your passions lie. Instead of avoiding you dissatisfaction use it to bring about changes. We have all devised a plan in our imagination of how we would “fix it” if we were in charge. You can start small or go big, but use your passion to introduce change, variation or modification to the area that you are passionate about.

Listen to others. Those around you that know you well can probably give you some insight into what you should be doing. The people you are close to can tell you what they have noticed about you, what makes you happy, what you enjoy, what you value. Chances are they have already suggested to you ways to put your skills to use, but you just haven’t been listening.

What are you good at? You have skills, talents and abilities that are a tell-tale sign of what you should be doing. As you use those abilities that are inherent to you, experience will allow you to explore and add to your skill-set. Don’t limit yourself, be open to learning and discovering through your experiences.

Combining these three tips and answering the questions that arise out of them will help you to discover what you should be doing. Remember to think without limitation, even if it means moving into an area that you never thought of yourself being in. God already purposed your position from before you were born, it’s up to you to discover it.

Strength in Weakness

Girls can do anything!

If you didn’t know – you should know I have had some very weak times in my life. Sometimes I was able to conquer and press through and other times, well let’s say it didn’t turn out so pretty for me. 🙂

You may ask what’s the difference between the times I failed and the times I succeeded?

I started succeeding through my weaknesses when I started looking for the lessons in a every weak moment. I started capitalizing on the positive vs. sulking in the negative. See what you focus on will expand, if you focus on how it feels or how bad you feel, you will continue to expand that feeling. If you focus on the lesson, you will expand and extract the wisdom needed to never find yourself in the same place again. We have to get in the habit of not being defeated before we are really defeated and newsflash we are NEVER defeated! A lot of times we give up too soon, we speak negative about it before the conclusion. Have you ever thought that just maybe it was going to end well???? Think of it like this, Have you ever misjudged a person because you judged them to fast, to later realize that they weren’t as bad as you originally thought? Exactly! A lot of us do our circumstances like that.

Today I want to challenge you to extract the good out of the bad, seek for the lessons that need to be learned and focus on that. You’ll find yourself winning EVERY TIME!

Life Questions?? Part 3

man with question mark painted on a wall

Hey guys, I hope you have been enjoying my Life Questions series. Hopefully you have been challenged to ask yourself those important questions that at times can shake your soul.

I have another question for you, Who told you it was impossible? As a community leader I often times hear very sad stories of people who had a dream to be this or that, but was told as a young child you can’t do that. Or even they feel they are too young to accomplish that dream. No matter how you received the futuristic damning news, I just want you know – IT’S NOT ACCURATE!!!! It’s simply not the truth at all, well let me take that back. It IS accurate and true if you believe it is. Yes, you heard me correctly, you empower your own future by where you put the energy of your belief.

Yes so the question, Who told you it was impossible? You did. When people tell you things that are opposite from what you believe, and you receive it, then you are the one that told you it was impossible. We have to learn how to take responsible for our lives. Being that we can’t control what people say to us, we have to be diligent in controlling what we let in our lives.

I want to challenge you as we are crossing over to the next year, never let anyone determine  your wealth, health and future. When people say negative things to you, don’t let their words in. Set your future and harshly go after it.

Life Questions?? Part 1

I had a very interesting conversation with someone today who was apparently frazzled as their planned scheduled had been ripped from them by some unexpected events. They were very involved in the conversation as normal and if I hadn’t been paying attention I would have assumed they were alright. Instead, I kept feeling this nag at me that wouldn’t let me go, so I mentioned to them how I felt and they begin to divulge how they are a little unraveled and they have the bad habit of taking care of other people and not taking care of themselves.

I wanted to ask you the LIFE QUESTIONS that I asked her and that was, “Who told you it was ok to not take care of you?” “What happened in your life that made you settle for taking care of everyone else and dismissing yourself?”

I could tell those questions stung her to her core as she was faced with answering something she probably never ever has been asked or forced to think about asking before. Now you all must understand my heart for the platform that I speak into your lives with everyday. It’s all about empowering you, if i’m not doing that I might as well point my energy towards something else. With that being said, I need to tell you that taking care of other people to the point where you are bankrupt is one of the most disempowering things you can do to yourself. You hurt you and others around you when you fail to rejuvenate. When you fail to heal. When you fail to be weak. <—— Did you just read that last sentence? See you’ll never know strength until you’ve embraced and slept with weakness. Some of you are so busy trying to be super that you start to believe that you really are. When you slip into that type of psychosis, you fail to live life. You miss opportunities for love, to seize moments, to stop and take in the goodness that life has to offer.

Do you have it? I think you got it! I’m looking forward to sharing more with you this week concerning Life Questions, as we lead up into the American Holiday, Thanksgiving.
